These terms govern your use of shabaya.coffee (the “Site”) and any goods, services or programmes you buy from Shabaya Limited. By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
Shabaya Limited is a Kenyan-registered coffee company headquartered in Nairobi. You can reach us at shabaya@shabaya.coffee.
2. Orders and pricing
Prices shown on the Site are in USD unless stated. Prices may change; the price at the time you place an order is the price that applies to that order. We reserve the right to cancel an order (with a full refund) if we suspect a pricing error, stock shortage, or fraud.
3. Roasting and shipping
Coffee is roasted in Nairobi to order, usually within seven days of your order. Shipping timelines depend on destination and carrier. Shipping fees are shown at checkout.
4. Returns
Because coffee is a perishable product roasted to order, we do not accept returns of opened bags. If a bag arrives damaged or unsealed, contact us within 14 days and we will replace it or refund it. Machines and equipment carry the manufacturer’s warranty; contact us to initiate a warranty claim.
5. Academy enrolment
An Academy seat is confirmed only when payment is received. Cohort dates are fixed. If you cannot attend, notify us at least 14 days before the cohort start for a full refund or transfer. Later cancellations may forfeit some or all of the fee.
6. Intellectual property
The Site, its content, and the Shabaya brand marks are owned by Shabaya Limited. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the content commercially without written permission. Journal essays may be quoted with a credit and link back.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Site or our products, except where such losses arise from our fraud, gross negligence, or wilful misconduct.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any dispute we cannot resolve amicably will be submitted to the Kenyan courts.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will always be available at this URL with the “last updated” date on top.
